Planting season is a very busy time of year! We plant all of our seedlings in mid to late March. Planting is a lot of hard work, but properly planted seedlings have the best chance to grow into your Christmas tree. Seedlings that come from the nursery are usually already 2 years old and around 12" tall. Early spring weather gives the seedlings cooler temperatures and usually ample moisture to get established before the heat of summer sets in. It typically takes most species of Christmas trees 7 - 10 years to reach the selling size of 8' tall !
